A Decade of Festive Fairs
One of the highlights of the Coastie summer is the annual Christmas Fair, the Central Coast’s largest outdoor Christmas shopping experience.
Offering a chance to grab some stocking fillers and Christmas presents while perusing market stalls at the picturesque parklands at Kariong, the Christmas Fair heralds the start of the Coast’s festive season.
We’re thrilled to once again be onboard as the fair’s official online and social media partner, especially as the event marks a major milestone.
The Central Coast Christmas Fair at Mt Penang Gardens
In its tenth year, the event is set to be bigger and better than ever and the Coastie couple behind the successful event couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve achieved.
Local event gurus Brad and Bianca Cardis from Fixx Events, who also put on the fabulous Avoca Beachside Markets, said 2017 marked a big milestone for their Christmas Fair.
“We are really proud of what we have built independently with The Christmas Fair from its first small initial idea of a country fair in Terrigal to the large community event it has grown into. The fair supports more than 160 local and small businesses and encourages families to come and connect for the day and celebrate the start of the Christmas season,” Brad says.

In recent times the event has been located at the beautiful Mt Penang Gardens at Kariong, not only a stunning backdrop for a fair but a necessary evolution as the fair outgrew its old homes at Terrigal’s lagoon, high school and Avoca beach.
With more than 160 hand-picked high-quality stalls fanning out across the picturesque location, the Christmas Fair transforms the green parklands into a festive wonderland.
Most importantly, the event showcases the entrepreneurial skills of crafty Coasties while giving locals the chance to support local businesses.
From upcycled treasures to chic clothing, heady candles and decadent sweets, shoppers are sure to find great one-of-a-kind gifts for their loved ones.

Ensuring the fair is a jolly affair for the whole family, food and drink zones include Eastcoast Beverages’ Smoothie Bar, Six String Brewery’s Pop Up Bar, local food vendors and wines, fermented foods, yummy snacks, fresh seasonal produce, puddings and delicious cakes.
Free all-day entertainment includes live music on the Star 104.5 FM Stage including special sets from local outfits Winterbourne, The Fields, Molly Millington, Elaskia and Asha as well as talented young buskers from Fairplay Entertainment.
Festive fun for kids comes in the shape of roving magicians, paper aeroplane making, lawn games and races, rides, face painting, jugglers and Christmas characters including the big man himself with Belle sponsoring Santa photos for $5.

The epic tenth anniversary Christmas Fair takes place on Sunday December 3 from 9am to 2pm at Mt Penang Gardens.
