Best Pancakes on the NSW Central Coast

Is there anything better than savouring a stack of fluffy pancakes with a good cup of coffee on a leisurely Sunday?

From buckwheat to buttermilk, we’ve been flat out with the tough task of finding the Coast’s best pancakes.

Here’s how they stack up…

Best for vegans

Modern Organic’s buckwheat, blueberry and banana pancakes, topped with whipped coconut, berries and maple, are vegan-friendly and gluten-free.

They’re also relatively guilt-free until you factor in the hazelnut mousse and chocolate soil.

Like everything that’s served up at this hip organic yoga cafe in Long Jetty, these pancakes are full of delicious goodness.

They’re available all day every day.

Bellyfish pancakes

Most indulgent

Pancakes don’t get much fancier than this.

Like dessert for breakfast, Bellyfish at Terrigal plates up beautiful apple crumble pancakes complete with stewed apple, crumble, ice cream and a few edible flowers to boost their #foodporn credentials.

The pancakes are damn near perfect – fluffy as cotton balls and with a hint of vanilla.

These babies are best enjoyed with a Single O espresso or an açai smoothie, basking in the morning sun and gazing out over Terrigal beach.

Most health-conscious/Best healthy option for kids

At Jasmine Greens, you can eat pancakes all day if your heart desires.

Buckwheat and buttermilk pancakes with maple yoghurt, lemon zest and fresh berries, are part of the all-day brunch menu.
It’s a special pancake recipe that took owner Gabby Greyem more than a decade to perfect and fits right in with the Umina Beach cafe’s healthier approach to life.
There’s also a kids pancake with maple syrup and ice cream. Both options are gluten-free.

Best classic stack

Glee Coffee Roasters at Erina Heights is the place to head if you like your pancakes fluffy and fat.

The chefs at this popular café serve up a generous stack of pancakes (that could easily feed two small people) with lashings of maple syrup, banana and pretty nasturtiums.

They’re like little clouds of goodness that melt in your mouth.

Add Glee’s famous Central Coast coffee and you might just find yourself in breakfast heaven.
