Central Coast Creative Spaces – Get Creative in 2022/23

As the Central Coast continues to evolve into an ‘it’ place to live, work and visit, so too does its vibrant art scene. We’ve got the low down on an incredible ‘Creative Spaces’ pop-up arts program that will see participants getting extra creative in 2022 and into 2023…

Creative Spaces is an initiative offered by local tourism experts, Destination Central Coast, who are working with talented local artists to offer a range of fun and eclectic pop up events in Gosford, Woy Woy and The Entrance.

Showcasing works from some of the coast’s most skilled creators, the workshops will include activities like watercolour workshops, aromatherapy, sculptures, photography and creative writing. The program will run throughout this year and into 2023.

There is painting, drawing, knitting, stained glass, wet felting, upcycled jewellery making, pottery, patchwork, candle, silver craft and more…the list goes on.

The workshops are the perfect way to get your creative juices flowing, learn something new and enjoy a different side to the beautiful Central Coast. There will be plenty of opportunity to support local, with fashion, produce, art, ceramics and more available for sale across the program.

With school holidays still going this week, plus the October holidays coming up in a few months, Creative Spaces is an amazing entertainment idea for kids.

There are a wide array of free and ticketed interactive performances, creative workshops and art activities at Kibble Park in Gosford. The Parkhouse @ Kibble will be decked out as a creative exhibition, artisan shop and workshop space with a quirky relaxed vibe. They want the community to feel at home, as though they could never overstay their welcome. Why not visit the public library while you are there? There are plenty of great cafes nearby, too.

Creativehardt Studio is a pop up creative arena at Woy Woy that aims to bring together the community, connecting with creative hearts through workshops, artwork displays, creative gifts for sale by local designers, artist talks and bringing together information from local community art groups and events. Close to one of the biggest and best kids parks on the Central Coast, you could grab a quick bite at Jasmine Greens before a visit to the playground, or stroll on the gorgeous Umina beach.

Or for those on the northern end of the coast, The Container Hub at The Entrance is a brilliant place to visit. The venue strives to keep the local community connected through nurturing creative freedom of expression, benefiting mental health, mind and body.

They will host ceramic, photographic and knitting workshops, among other creative workshops to enjoy throughout the year. With the newly refurbished Beachcomber Hotel just minutes down the road, why not finish your afternoon with a wine and fresh pub meal at the Beachie? The venue overlooks some stunning views of the Budgewoi Lake.
