Sublime holiday hot spots: Forresters Beach
With an array of stunning places to holiday, the Central Coast has some incredible hot spots to offer. Check out these hot spots, as well as our picks for eating, shopping and exploring in Forresters Beach.
Known to locals as simply as ‘Forries’, this ruggedly beautiful beach town is quickly emerging as one of the trendiest suburbs to holiday on the Central Coast.
Offering dramatic views from the cliff tops across Wyrrabalong National Park to the waters below, Forresters Beach is the quiet alternative to Terrigal, which is conveniently just ten minutes away.
The reef breaks are popular with local and visiting surfers. The southern end of the beach is more protected (where people swim), and there are plenty of nearby walking trails for those who enjoy the great outdoors.
There are some gorgeous local cafés, or jump in the car for five or ten minutes and you will find an array of venues in nearby Terrigal and Wamberal.
Head north and visit the sleepy lighthouse town of Norah Head, the Munmorah State Recreation Area or head to The Entrance for some pelican feeding with the kids. With plenty of idyllic beach towns and nearby countryside to roam, Forresters Beach is the perfect midpoint for weekend getaways.
