Return of the Jetty Street Fest
From 11am until 7pm on Sunday November 20, Long Jetty staked its claim as one of the most hip and happening suburbs on the Coast.
Streams of boho chicks in billowing skirts, cut-off shorts and strappy sandals flowed along the lake’s shore as the second annual Long Jetty Street Festival swung into action.

Punters paused here and there for a cold pressed juice, coconut water or sparkling soda with Going to Gracelands turning fizzy drinks into art works in the palm of your hand.
Others were powerless against the spicey scent, comfy cushions and marigold-laden ladies at Glass Onion’s Ashram.
From the pop-up buskers to Joel Leggett’s lakeside stage, the soundtrack of the festival was a snapshot of some of our best homegrown talent.

Unrecognisable from its usual non-descript slab of concrete, the Long Jetty Hotel’s car park was pumping.
The transformation to a thriving mosh pit and bar complete thanks to Nathan Hawes, Elaskia and Eagle and the Wolf, as well as cold drip martini’s from Onyx and frosty brews from Six String.
Local businesses were out in force spreading the message of Jetty community love with Modern Organic offering yoga on the shore, the Raw Deal spruiking its natural wares and even Luminous dentistry pulling out the pearly whites.
Food, glorious food, was everywhere: brisket from Common Ground, Mr Goaty gelato and burgers from The Hungry Traveller.

It all came to a crescendo alongside Green Tangerine with colourful cotton fluttering in the wind, birdcages perched on poles and live street art galore.
Along Thompson Street locals sat in an impromptu living room complete with cosy couches, crate foot stools and hay bale coffee tables.
Grant Molony and his team of Coastie artists completed their surfboard masterpieces on boards donated by the likes of Coastie surfers Ace Buchan and Matt Wilkinson – they’ll be auctioned at Lucky Surf Supply Co on Friday night with proceeds going to Central Coast Kids in Need.

As they have been doing since the suburb began its transformation, street artists left a lasting impression on Long Jetty that we can all enjoy any day.
The Welcome to Long Jetty wall – looking better than ever thanks to some nice touches from Brent ‘Biffy’ Smith – and a bright new installation from graphic artist Nico, stand proud as a permanent reminder of how cool this lakeside suburb is year-round.
