The Entrance Social Club Goes LIVE
On Thursday night, the Central Coast witnessed the launch of a revamped and impressive new venue for live music, delicious waterfront cuisine and great cocktails – The Entrance Social Club. And what a party it was…

It goes without saying that after a snoozy few years, Central Coast locals are craving modern, lively venues to enjoy time with family and friends, eat great food and have a tipple. Thankfully for us, when renowned Sydney pub owner, Andrew Thomas completed a multi-million dollar renovation of The Oaks Hotel in Neutral Bay last year, he turned his attention to The (humble) Entrance Hotel. “The Entrance is an incredible location with first-class views and waterways, there just needs to be time, money and effort spent when it comes to what it has to offer in terms of food, entertainment and experiences,” explains Thomas.
The space – modern, clean and neutral, perfect for a cosy winter’s evening or a long summer soirée…
The Entrance Social Club renovations have been completed in two phases, with two uniquely designed phases – you may recall us announcing the opening of Taffy’s, a quirky Sports Bar featuring retro games and pop culture decor where you can watch all major sporting events held in Australia and internationally.
See food, eat it – need we say more?
The second space, which we celebrated on Thursday, is Mrs May’s Bistro and Bar. Mrs May’s is a statement space designed by Pony Design Co, and features neutral modern tones, sexy curves and luxurious textures throughout. The sophisticated bar flows outside to a stunning dog-friendly courtyard and sundrenched deck, spotted with chic umbrellas and ample greenery. As we’ve just learnt, this particular space is also perfect for a DJ, live acts and a boogie – and guests were treated to the ethereal vocals of Elaskia and a sweet set from TV host and DJ Danny Clayton spinning nineties and noughties. We’re guaranteed that similar good vibes will now be a permanent fixture every Friday-Sunday along with delicious meals and signature cocktails.
The venue was buzzing for Thursday’s launch event.
At the launch, guests were greeted with flutes of Piper Heidsieck champagne, free-flowing Wayward Seltzers and margis, as well as samples of the menu, which boasts fresh seafood, pub favourites with a twist and delicious bar snacks. Both bars offer a selection of craft beers on tap, daily specials, an extensive cocktail menu and a mind-blowing selection of tequila, spiced rum and Japanese whisky. If you prefer to stay in, The Entrance Social Club also offer an exterior bottle shop specialising in local and international craft beers.
Local influencers, business owners and other familiar faces were all present for Thursday’s fun launch event – it was definitely smiles all round.
