Theia Unveils a Season of Transformative Events for Community and Creativity
Theia, Woy Woy’s new and luminous space for creativity, healing, and personal transformation, is thrilled to announce an inspiring lineup of events for the coming months, inviting the community to immerse themselves in artistic expression, personal growth, and holistic wellbeing.

“Theia is fast becoming a hub for expression in all forms. From therapeutic engagement, to art and storytelling, we are thrilled to be able to offer an ever evolving space that celebrates the brave souls who seek to connect to their community with intention and authenticity.” Co-Director Lauren McDonnell said.

Theia’s suite of offerings include:
Monthly Artist Residencies
Each month, Theia hosts an artist in residence, offering both emerging and established artists the opportunity to showcase their work in the onsite gallery space. These residencies invite the public to explore a rich variety of talents, celebrating the power of creativity and expression as well as providing a platform for artists to engage with the public through an exhibition, artists talks and workshops.
- Local Woy Woy artist, Gordon Cumming’s show “Ambiguity” runs 10th November to 10th December with an opening celebration Thursday 14th November from 5:30pm.
- “Gifted” a collection of local artists and artisans showcasing small works, ceramics and jewellery offering handmade, unique and intentional gifts: 10th December to 10th January 2025.
- Tessa Hudson’s solo exhibition, “A Kaleidoscope of Colour” runs 10 Jan to 10 Feb with an opening celebration Thursday 16th January from 5:30pm.

Resonance: A Night of Spoken Word
A powerful evening of spoken word, poetry, and song. This regular event encourages community members to share their voices, stories, and musical talents in a warm, inclusive setting. Central Coast’s answer to The Moth, Resonance is a celebration of vulnerability, courage, and connection, allowing individuals to experience the profound impact of shared expression in an intimate and supportive setting.

Theia Lecture Series
A series of informative and engaging presentations will feature experts from various wellness and allied health fields. Each lecture offers the public an opportunity to learn from leading professionals, covering topics such as naturopathy, heart-centred financial advice, astrology, branding, and coaching. These lectures are designed to equip attendees with practical insights and skills that can enhance their personal lives, expand their understanding of holistic wellness as well as introduce them to some of the coast’s leading practitioners.
Lecture #1: Avalon Breen – The Purpose of Astrology: The Meaning Behind the Stars, 4th and 18th December. Tickets $40 and include light refreshments.
Lecture #2: Samantha Fin and Lauren McDonnell – Like Nobody’s Business: How to brand your business with integrity and intention, 22nd January 2025. Tickets $40 and include light refreshments.

Workshops
In addition to these anchor events, Theia hosts workshops run by leading experts that are open to the public, including breathwork, mindfulness practices, and other empowering tools for self-discovery. These workshops, alongside the space itself, support individuals in their journeys toward inner growth, expression, and healing.
Yin Yoga and Sacred Sound Immersion, Sunday 10th of November from 4pm-5:30pm. Divinely held by Earth To Self Studio and New World Dreaming, this community offering is a powerful collaboration of the deep practice of yin and the activation of sound and light frequencies. Tickets $30.
Therapy space – A place for therapists to see clients 1:1 or in a group setting, every corner of Theia has been thoughtfully designed to create a safe, supportive environment where visitors can embrace the full spectrum of their creativity and vulnerability. The space itself is functional, and accommodating to individuals with sensory sensitivities, ensuring everyone who walks through Theia’s doors can feel safe to explore, express, and connect. The brainchild of psychotherapist, artist and author Samantha Fin and yoga teacher, creative freelancer and unifier Lauren McDonnell, Theia is a truly unique concept and a haven for those seeking personal transformation.
