Vita’s skin protection tips
Protecting your skin from the sun year-round works two-fold, with measures taken to protect the appearance of your skin also contributing to its overall health.
“Many of the principles I share with clients in relation to managing their skin, also contribute towards avoiding the damaging effects of the sun,” Vita said.
“A lot of this advice has been drilled into us as Australians from a young age, given the environment we live in and the harsh nature of the sun. They’re measures that are so important to follow, and it’s something I’m extremely passionate about having lost my younger brother to melanoma nearly ten years ago.”
Protection
Do your best to avoid direct sunlight for extended periods. Tried and true solutions to protection are; sunscreen, hats, protective clothing and an umbrella or natural shade if you’re outside.
Timing
Remember, the sun is at its most damaging between 11am – 3pm. So, pick the right time to spend time outdoors.
