Glee is all about coffee and people<\/span><\/span>. That has been the philosophy of Glee Coffee Roasters<\/strong><\/span><\/a> from the beginning and it\u00a0<\/span><\/span>continues to<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>underlie<\/span><\/span>\u00a0all their practices today.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Founded on the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Central<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Coast almost 10 years ago, the evolution of good coffee in the region can just about be traced back to Glee.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

While the beans bring a lot of glee to many coffee addicts, the name stems from\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Gleeson brothers,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Chris and Ben, who set up the business and have since roped in their m<\/span><\/span>iddle brother Nick as Head Roaster.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

One step into the f<\/span><\/span>unky HQ in Wyong\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and you know you\u2019ve come across something\u00a0<\/span><\/span>special<\/span><\/span>. Almost as cool as Google, the office comes\u00a0<\/span><\/span>complete with\u00a0<\/span><\/span>a\u00a0<\/span><\/span>ping pong table<\/span><\/span>, team photo wall, vibrant vintage art<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0chill-out sofas and the heavenly aroma of roasted coffee beans.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Downstairs in the warehouse it\u2019s always\u00a0<\/span><\/span>a flurry of activity around the ever-in-use coffee machine<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>that<\/span><\/span>\u00a0staff are<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>encouraged to constantly experiment on. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are bags and bags of beans surrounding the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>roasting machinery and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>just about\u00a0<\/span><\/span>every type of coffee accessory known to man.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout Glee HQ, there\u2019s a constant stream of staff moving around trying, testing and helping with the production process.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The chit chat about the \u201cblends\u201d is so infectious, before you know it you\u2019ll be sipping on an espresso discussing the bitterness quotient. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The famous house blend,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>affectionately referred to as \u201cThe G<\/span><\/span>oods\u201d, is what they\u2019re known for and\u00a0what<\/span><\/span>\u00a0fills the mugs in Glee’s Central Coast caf\u00e9s.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span>If you\u2019re thinking about mixing up your us<\/span><\/span>ual<\/span><\/span>\u00a0–<\/span><\/span>\u00a0try Glee’s<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u201cbatch brew\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0Filter coffee\u00a0is the\u00a0latest \u2018it thing’ in coffee and Glee’s<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0is already receiving\u00a0<\/span><\/span>rave reviews.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><\/span>a different, smooth<\/span><\/span>er way to enjoy Glee’s\u00a0signature taste.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For hotter days there\u2019s a refreshing cold brew on offer, which c<\/span><\/span>an be served over ice\u00a0<\/span><\/span>or<\/span><\/span>\u00a0taken away in a nifty\u00a0<\/span><\/span>jar<\/span><\/span>\u00a0(homemade espresso\u00a0<\/span><\/span>martinis anyone?<\/span><\/span>).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Glee coffee can also be ordered online and delivered to your doorstep if you can\u2019t go without \u201cthe goods\u201d on those stay-at-home mornings.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Once you\u2019ve perfected your coffee order you can\u00a0<\/span><\/span>start b<\/span><\/span>rowsing the wholesome menu at the G<\/span><\/span>lee cafes at Erina and Wyong.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Breakfast is served until 2pm every day\u00a0(sleep-ins aren\u2019t just for Sunday!)\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and offers something for everyone.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><\/span>avo<\/span><\/span>\u00a0smash, pancakes, haloumi pesto stacks and of course the usual bacon and eggs with any-side-you-want combos,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0as well as acai and green bowls<\/strong><\/span><\/a> for the more health-conscious breakfast goers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The vege breakfast roll, with av<\/span><\/span>ocado, kale,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>fried egg and a freshly baked hash brown,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>is a genius Glee concoction and the\u00a0classic B+E roll, which comes<\/span><\/span>\u00a0with double b<\/span><\/span>acon and chipotle\u00a0<\/span><\/span>bbq<\/span><\/span>\u00a0sauce, will satisfy even<\/span><\/span>\u00a0the hungriest of customers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for takeaway, t<\/span><\/span>here\u2019s plenty of freshly made goodies, both sweet and savoury, to choose from at the counter<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

T<\/span><\/span>he crowd favourite<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>breakfast-on-the-go<\/span><\/span>\u00a0option\u00a0<\/span><\/span>is the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>p<\/span><\/span><\/a>oached egg and crispy bacon\u00a0<\/span><\/span>breakfast burrito, which always flies off the shelf.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You’ll find the bustling Wyong caf\u00e9 via an inconspicuous sign on the wall of the historic Chapman Building, while Glee’s\u00a0other cafe is located at Erina Heights on the\u00a0Central Coast Highway.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Both <\/span><\/span>cafes boast an industrial feel with dimly-lit bulbs, exposed bricks and leafy indoor plants. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The music is upbeat in the morning and calming at lunchtime with the ever-present background\u00a0<\/span><\/span>noise\u00a0<\/span><\/span>of caffeine-fuelled\u00a0chat and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>buzzing<\/span><\/span>\u00a0coffee machines. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Spacious and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>vibey, th<\/span><\/span>e cafes offer the perfect place to work away on your laptop, catch up with friends or just sit solo and enjoy a good\u00a0<\/span><\/span>ole\u2019 cup<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of joe.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Glee is not\u00a0<\/span><\/span>just<\/span><\/span>\u00a0a\u00a0<\/span><\/span>business<\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>it\u2019s<\/span><\/span>\u00a0not\u00a0<\/span><\/span>just<\/span><\/span>\u00a0a caf\u00e9 and it\u2019s certainly not\u00a0<\/span><\/span>just<\/span><\/span>\u00a0coffee.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
