Although we haven\u2019t\u00a0needed the beanies, jackets and scarves just yet, the winter holidays have arrived.<\/p>\n

From al fresco ice skating to robot workshops \u2013 there is so much fun to be had on the Central Coast these July holidays. And\u00a0some of it’s\u00a0free.<\/p>\n

Here are eight ways to make these holidays the coolest ever, thanks to our friends at\u00a0Playing in Puddles<\/a>\u00a0–<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0a brilliant website which brings you the best of the Central Coast for kids.<\/p>\n

\"Ice<\/a>

Ice skating at Kibble Park<\/p><\/div>\n

Get your skates on and hit the ice at Kibble Park these holidays. Central Coast Council has transformed Gosford\u2019s CBD into a mini winter wonderland with an ice rink open daily from Wednesday 11 July to Wednesday 18 July<\/span>. This year they\u2019re bringing not only ice to the Central Coast but snow too \u2013 with free\u00a0snow play from 9am-9.30am each day. Food trucks will keep parents caffeinated and kids fuelled for hours of fun.<\/p>\n

Ice skating and snow play dates:<\/strong>10am-8pm daily Wednesday 11 July \u2013 Wednesday 18th July; the 45-minute skate sessions start on the hour.

Bubbly fun at The Entrance<\/p><\/div>\n

Central Coast Council has a host of fun, free\u00a0<\/strong>activities lined up to hit The Entrance\u00a0<\/strong>these school holidays. Plus there will be the usual carnival rides, mini train and daily pelican feeding at 3.30pm. And don\u2019t forget the waterfront is home to two great playgrounds, too.<\/p>\n

Live entertainment: <\/strong>Ellie Drennan on Monday 9th and Nick Read on 16th July 10am-1pm at Waterfront Plaza.<\/p>\n

Dinosaurs \u2013 Life Long Ago:\u00a0<\/strong>Locate and identify replica fossils of Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus and Triceratops. Tuesday 10th July. There will be three excavations (one at 10am, 11am and 12pm) and each excavation runs for 45 minutes.<\/p>\n

Slot Car Fun: <\/strong>Race your mates on this remote-controlled super-sized slot-car race track. <\/strong>Tuesday 17th July 10am-1pm at Waterfront Plaza.<\/p>\n

Crocodile Encounters: <\/strong>Get up close and personal with some of Australia\u2019s wildest reptiles. Wednesday 18th July 10am-1pm at Waterfront Plaza.<\/p>\n

Bubbly Life \u2013 Monster Bubbles and Giant Bubbles:\u00a0<\/strong>Humongous bubbles will be filling the sky. Get your fingers set to pop, pop, pop. Thursday 19th July 10am-1pm at Memorial Park.<\/p>\n

Outrageous Entertainment \u2013 Circus Skills Workshop:\u00a0<\/strong>Acro balance, hula hooping, tumbling, stick twirling, poise spinning,\u00a0\u00a0juggling, diablo, flower sticks and so much more. Friday 20th July 10am-1pm at Waterfront Plaza.<\/p>\n

\"Wolfgang<\/a>

Wolfgang at the Art House<\/p><\/div>\n

Wolfgang\u00a0<\/em>reinvents Mozart\u2019s music for a young audience and adds circus flair to keep the kids entertained at\u00a0The Art House, Wyong, these school holidays. A live musician will take to the stage along with a backflipping acrobat called Wolfgang (from the Circa Contemporary Circus) to bring together this fun, quirky show of acrobats, movement and music.<\/p>\n

Plus, did you hear that The Art House now has an on-site cafe? A bite here before or after the show will make your little one feel all grown up and special. The cafe\u2019s open from 10am-5pm Monday-Friday.<\/p>\n

Classes include acting, singing, microphone work, stage confidence, how to engage your audience, plus there\u2019s the opportunity to perform on the final day.\u00a0The classes run over three days (2 hours per day), and are for students from kindergarten through to year six.<\/p>\n
