Here are there six picks for simple, stylish wardrobe updates this winter.
Trending Tan – No need to opt only for black as a wardrobe staple this winter. Inject some earthy touches to your look with shades of tan.
Tip: If wearing tan clothes is not something that appeals to you, try tan accessories.
Homely Knits – roll necks, thick yarn and chunky styling create some very snuggly options this winter.
Tip: If wearing lots of layers is not something you enjoy try the chunky knits with a cami underneath. If you do like to wear lots of layers try wearing a cami, long sleeve top and layering with a knit. Pull the sleeves of the long sleeve top out of the knit as this will add to the layered effect.
Fringe Benefits – Fun, frivolous and a bit sexy, fringing can be worn in an entire garment or on an accessory, giving any outfit a bohemian and 70s finish.
Tip: When you are not wearing your fringing garments or accessories be sure to hang them neatly. This will ensure that the fringing will stay tangle free.
Layers of Lace – Perfect for after dark but don’t just leave your lace for when the sun goes down, it can also make an elegant style statement by day teamed back with denim and injected into corporate attire.
Tip: Be sure that your layering is appropriate to the situation. There is nothing stylish about being in an open lace tank with a bra for a work meeting however a cami worn under a long sleeve lace top and blazer is appropriate.
Winter Blooms – Floral prints are often left for summer but not this season. Feminine winter blooms will bring colour to your winter wardrobe leaving you feeling fresh and vibrant when the weather is dull and gloomy.
Tip: Pick a winter bloom that suits your stature. Petite frames suit smaller prints while statuesque frames suit larger prints.
Statement Boots – Always a winter essential, however, this season boots are more the focus of an outfit. Time to put your best foot forward and build your style around your footwear.
Tip: Be sure that whatever statement boot you choose it suits your body balance. Never finish a boot on the widest part of your leg.
